Stantion base deck corrosion

    This stainless doubler plate was welded to the steel deck using TIG with 309l filler rod. 25 years and never any corrosion. The bollard goes through the deck to framing.

    You could weld a backing plate under the deck to stiffen the area, then weld a sleeve to the bottom of the stanchion.
