    Hi,

I am curious how looks waste utilization system on board (biological material)
I saw a long time ago indirect steam sterilization machine which was utilizing the waste.
Before there was around a horizontal silo with approx. 10m3 of volume
Does anyone know more about it?

    Thank you.

What are you using the waste for? Is this a floating farm?

    Hi,
It is not a floating farm. Please see the link

I saw that kind of utilization machine a long time ago on ship design drawing. It was together with some heat exchanger and silo around 10m3 for waste material from ship.
I am looking for the types of wastes that are created onboard on ships. Some residuals from kitchen or from some other source.

Are you looking at a cruise ship or military transport that would generate huge amounts of food waste?

I am looking for the type of waste from the ship. Does not matter what kind of boat it is. It can be a cruise ships or military transport.
Food waste is only waste generated on that kind of ship? Do you know more about utilization process of this waste, or maybe you know link to some articles in www.

You wouldn't be able to fit and power the system you show unless it is a fairly large ship with the necessary space and power supply. Further, it requires that all the products be crushed beforehand. That will also require a lot of space and power. The ships I mentioned would have the space, power, and amount of waste that needs to be treated.

Thank you. What is happening with food waste after the sterilization and utilization? Does it throw away overboard? Do we have some rules regarding the food waste utilization onboard?
