Ply on frame, 1/4” ply, 2-6 oz cloth, 2-4” seam tape.
Should the cloth still overlap the seam tape
If I put the tape on first and offset the edges 1/2 to 1 inch …. Should the cloth edge fall on the tape or extend past the tape for better transition?
    Thanks all

By all means overlap and extend for best transition.

The overlap is what marries the sections together, makes the skin continuous.
Sure, it causes some sanding and fairing, but not overlapping is doomed to fail.
