Have 1970 Cary 28 with motors replaced in 1985 so mounts are the same age. Looking at the mounts, the rubber is intact but squished pretty good. My question is: should these be routinely replaced? Motors have about 300hrs on them(440's with velvet drives).
    Thanks

Rubber mounts can deteriorate over time. I wouldn't bother pulling an engine just to replace its mounts, but I would replace them if you ever have to pull the motor for something else. May as well get it all working at the same time.
