Floatation Foam

    Many years ago we were putting pipelines (Hot and chilled water) underground in Atlantic city NJ, where the water table was very high. The pipes needed to be insulated for 50 year service, so we used closed cell glass spheres in a foam matrix, as they are impervious to water intrusion.

    I wonder what happens when you pour PU foam into a cavity containing a lot of polystyrene beans ? Never tried it, probably a debacle !

    I may worrying about nothing...
    All the wet foam I have encountered has been in 40-50 yr old boats.
    After going to all the rebuild efforts, I think I would take enough precautions to keep that from happening during my rule of the empire.
