Might as well. It was on Yahoo News and that's just an aggregator. They have never been known for accuracy. They picked it up from AP.

This article sound like an infomercial. I've been trying to track down this John Marshall on the internet but there are so many John Marshalls it's hard differentiate. There is one who has a boating website but it doesn't seem to fit John Marshall's Page http://woodenboatpeople.org/profile/JohnMarshall There's even a John Marshall in the America's Cup hall of fame. Anyway, take it for what its worth.

There is a sports writer named John Marshall who writes for AP. But as far as I can tell he has never written any boating articles.

Every detail in the article was there EXCEPT the range or time between charges. And while electric motors are quiet, their sound is a safety feature (even Tesla had to add sound to its cars) that alerts stationary boats to something big moving close to them at a damaging rate of speed.

    The Queen's barge Gloriana, launched 2012 -

    • The electric propulsion system consists of 16 x 24V 100Ah Lithium batteries wired in series and parallel to give a total stored energy of 40kWh at 52V, enough for approx. 6 hours of cruising. Uniquely, the system had to be configured via two distribution/contactor boxes, so that the battery pack can power either both drives simultaneously, or in the event of a fault, to one electric drive only.
from Fact File – Gloriana, The Queen's Rowbarge https://www.glorianaqrb.org.uk/building-gloriana/fact-file/

Also spotted this on the MFG website - "* For ecological reasons, we no longer use wood in the construction of our boats since 2018." What planet are they on again??
