We are still feeling the heavy over harvesting of walnut today from its use in propellers and other applications during WWI to WWII.

    Yes. Very beautiful.
I also find that hair style extremely interesting and as beatiful as the wood frame and your grandmother.

What a great trip into history, thanks TT.

    Thanks IN - very interesting.
That makes sense of the fabric or brass faring I've seen on the leading edge in some pictures.

They were doing studies in the ionosphere(I think) back in the 50's. My friend's dad was an artilleryman. They tried various materials for the projectiles to transport the instrumentation when rockets were undependable. Grapefruit was tough enough to take the stress of the cannon. I made a knife handle from it(our house was built on a former grapefruit grove) and it was tough indeed.

Reza Baluchi’s aim was to “run” to the northern US or Bermuda. Baluchi instead ended up 30 miles south of his St Augustine, Florida start point.

“My goal is to not only raise money for homeless people, raise money for the coast guard, raise money for the police department, raise money for the fire department.”

This is not Reza's first nutty idea...

If that link just presented you with a boring old chart yesterday, my apologies. Think I've got it sorted now. Uncensored pictures of sunsets, seagulls, whisky, and crusty old blokes of a certain age. I hate Flickr.
