If it is worth that to you, then you could perhaps make an offer (say $1,000?) if you would like to buy it.

Alternatively, taking into account what BMcF said above, you could try a much lower offer.

You say it has original 60HP engine? A Johnson or Evinrude?

Original Johnson. Here's a couple of the pics I have. The local lake near me is a 25hp limit. So I'd have to swap the motor to be legal there

When I had a 70 on my 18, she's do 28. You are not going to be kicking much over 25 with that old Sea Horse. The boat looks to be in amazing condition! My '64 Woodson is exactly the same color combination. My '69 is all white.

I kind of like the color combination. I'm an all white guy myself.

I was going to send you more pics that I got, but can't send you a private message.

Thank you Mike for posting all these photos - a real 'blast from the past' for sure.
Especially that cable steering system on the outboard - I haven't seen one of those for a very long time.

Hey there, I just picked up this 1968 Woodson White Cap DC18 cabin Cruiser. Cant find much info... it came with a 1969 115hp Johnson. Not running. The boat has been kept in a garage for the last 36 years. If anyone has info let me know TIA

    Welcome to the Forum Brett.
    Your Woodson looks quite immaculate!
Thank you for the photos of her, and also the photo from the catalogue.
Re more info, have you read through the whole thread? There is a fair amount of info on earlier pages.
Do you have any specific questions about your boat?
Some pals of mine had a sister ship to her (but with an inboard engine, and an outdrive leg) in the early 70's here for a while, and I used to go out fishing with them occasionally. She could even tow a water skier.

Yes, there must definitely be a Forrest Gump (or Jenny) fan here :)

This post made my day! It sounds like we have/had very similar situations! I just came into possession of our family boat that my grandfather bought new: it's also an 18' Woodson Dual Cathedral (though the '69 model). Mine is also named after my mom, since my grandparents had four kids and one girl--our Woodson is the Miss Brenda Sue, and while my grandparents are both still alive, I am looking to restore it as much as possible so that it looks like the same Memory-Machine it was for them, their four kids, their 12 grandkids, and even some of their 11 great-grandkids. It will be an undertaking!

Doing the math, you're only a few years younger than me, but are/were on the same quest I am now--finding Woodson badges to affix. I see from other replies their suggestion about vinyl or 3D printing, which I appreciate and will pursue as my solution. The only other things I'll be looking for--and hopefully there's a good suggestion or two out there too--are things like the bow aluminum railing and the bow/starboard-aft light housings. I'd heard there's a web site that represents a popular--and well-stocked--boat junkyard, but I don't remember what it is. Still, I'm hopeful there are some resourceful captains out there with some wisdom. And I thank you ahead of time!

But to Woodson66NY, I want to thank you for reminding me that our stories are uniquely individual, but not uncommon!
