hi, do you have and know windsurfing rigs? these cats came with a slender ss piece that locks into the mast track on the cat and screws into the standard flex joint [8 mm] of a windsurfing extension base .

then the 3 shrouds are attached strongly to the boom[boom must be very strongly attached to mast [clamp on boom of course] so it cannot slide down

    main sheet attached at rear

ideally a slalom or cambered race sail is used

how did it go with a motor ?

    cheers andrew

Well, with the motor it was fun. However on such a small boat i think electric would be better.
The previous picture where the sea rider i on the trailer, is how i managed to rig it. But it was no succes on water and rigging took way to long.

No i do not have dagger board. i have a custom tiller extension.
Then again, i did not manage to have much fun with it on water =(

you must use dagger-board[pretty easy to make one out of 25 mm plywood ] or salvage one from an old dinghy

some kite sailors here are stoked to put a kite on one , need 2 people; one to steer kite on to steer boat

I have one of these as well.

At one point the previous owner had a big outboard on it, big enough for it to get up on plane for a “James Bond” like experience. Yikes!

My plan was to turn it into a solar electric tender since it didn’t come with a rig, rudders, or centerboard.
