PVC gutter drains

I'm sure this has been done......so not looking for the "If's" ...but instead the best or most effective way to epoxy pvc pipe to fiberglass to provide a drain from hatch gutters??

LOL........Thanks. Short and to the point, I guess I assumed that it was s.o.p. to abrade any surface prior to attempting to get a glue to stick to it.

And again thank you I was looking to see if it was necessary to not only bed with thickened epoxy but may encase in a couple layers of cloth.

just looking for the best adhesion so this can be addressed and put to bed without have to revisit it down the road due to poor technique .

A length of rubber hose between the gutter and drain pipe takes a lot of strain off the joint.

 

Thank you KapnD, But I'm planning on running the pipe directly under the gutter and epoxying it in place then drilling through the gutter providing an outlet for the run off.
at the end of the pipe will be a hose leading to the bilge. Having a challenge with overflow of run off water spilling over the gutter and onto my Cat powerplants.

I like your idea, my own boat has gutter drainage problems too, in the worst possible location, right over the motor.

 

Yes, ....That's very true. But the question was presented in a simple form. I find over worded or complex posts tend to bore readers so I tried to keep it simple. And just provide the important info to generate responses......My Bad!!

So to reiterate.....looking for the best way to secure pvc pipe to existing fiberglass with having any bonding issues......
