No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch....

 

Speaking from an inertial frame of reference:
1. My couch is against the wall, if they want to lap me, they must hurdle the fence twice per lap as only the backyard is fenced.
2. Relative to the axis of Earth at 28° north latitude +-, the couch is moving incredibly fast at 22736.8421 statute miles per day or a little over 947.3 statute miles per hour not counting the orbital movement of the axis around the Sun and not counting the relative movement of our Solar System within our Milky Way and not counting the travel of our Milky Way within the Universe.

 

And yet... all you have to do is walk east and you'll be going faster. (of course, that also means you can't be at too high or too low of a latitude).

Sometimes, it's just a little more racey on the couch.
