Build: Sucher low power skiff/launch question?

    It is similar, here is the main difference: most 15-16 ft skiffs are now designed for high horsepower with a no rocker (straight run aft). This is expensive, and in my modest experience the straight run act makes for a rougher ride. For me the boat will be for fishing under low speed while trolling or cruising for visible fish inside a large harbor. Clamming and beach trips are also possible with less speed.

    Those old Atkins plans would probably have a few like that.
