Make sure the zero tows are out away from the foam; the other way is wrong. The 90 tows offer little, so an interesting layup.

I don't like the schedule much because the mat is not offering much; except perhaps a base for coatings. The con is that 1208 will not wet down from above. - you have to roll epoxy and then roll the glass over it

I would prefer to not use 1208 inside and stick with 12 oz fabrics, but the designer might like the finish quality or attributes of mat out? I'd ask. Seems a bit odd that layup. Usually, I'd think the inside a little heavier; so maybe the mat is just a way to make it even both sides.

9 ounce is woven; not woven roving; sometimes you can only find 10; both good

    So would you suggest?

    • 2 layer 12 oz. Double bias(45/45) no mat
    • foam Divinycell H-80 12 mm (1/2”)
    • 2 layer 12 oz. Double bias(45/45) no mat

I never supercede designer. If you are painting; I don't see why that layup would not work for small boat unless the hp is high.

1200 db is a joy to use...it will wet down thru, but much easier to roll on wetted sirface; use 3" tubes to roll off
