Have Hobie hull = shear material, and will hold chainplates etc...might be heavier than the wood shear but is bird in hand.

Using H-16 deck over foam as deck, not considered.

Concerns were: Foam and the adhesive; wire cut/guide; shear-plan to use H16 side/recycle it...!

If this is vertical like a keelson lay up glass over a cardboard 1/2 tube or a polyurethane foam rib with the glass from each side overlapping on the top. Like a "tophat' section.
Or; wet out a length of glass and hang it over a pipe to give you a "U" section.
If its horizontal like a sub floor lay up glass and coremat on a sheet of melamine and glass that in, leave off the last layer and make that your bonding in layer to save weight and material.

Thanks for assistance, but so far nothing seems to beat plain foam over old hull side as shear, with Gorilla G as foam adhesive. I figure only downside to using the Hobie slab is weight and that can be easily countered. Besides, the shear would allow chain-plate or stay anchor spot.
