How can it be ad hominem when it's about almost all AGW believers and preachers, there isn't just a few, is it ?

About selling snake oil, mailbox baseball came up on the thread ‘‘Killer whales launch ‘orchestrated’ attacks on sailing boats’’ in the posts #63 - 64, the below "original" by Kiefer Sutherland signed pic about it was for sale on eBay (Condition: New - Item specifics: Original) and is still for sale on Amazon (Collectible Type: Original), now I'll bet some people will believe that's all for real like AGW theory and carbon offsets . .

of only we could learn to subtract homonyms instead. Maybe everything would be less confusing.

Why should you not be held accountable for your own behavior that goes against all your sermons ?

What kind of hypocrisy is that, besides the lame excuse you posted about it, and why are so called AGW believers still flying and using fossil fuels while they preach to others they should stop with it ?

Here's a reprint of a Madonna autographed photo for sale, similar pen used plus similar handwriting as Kiefer Sutherland's "original" autographed photo, and for sure like AGW theory and carbon offsets it's all for real, who gets conned nowadays . .

P.S. - They all seem to use the same pen and handwriting . .

So as the biggest ad hominemist you're now preaching against ad hominemcy, did you count how many ad hominem jabs you made against a banana home grower, how much more hypocrite can you become ?

So isn't this ad hominem ?

Like your AGW preaching your ad hominemcy sermons only seems to apply for others, and not for yourself.

If you want to adapt the world to your believes than better seriously start with yourself, that is where your first responsibility lies and what you can control yourself, that is off course if you have just that bit of willpower to control your own desires on those points.

...and while certain thread participants continue to spit and sputter, planet Earth keeps getting warmer...

July 2020 was record hot for N. Hemisphere, 2nd hottest for planet

July 2020 has tied for second-hottest July on record for the globe, according to NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information.

What’s more, the Northern Hemisphere saw its hottest July ever — surpassing its previous record high set in 2019.

If you believe so then best first do about it what you can do yourself before coming to others, that is if you have the willpower to control your own desires on those points.
Why don't you have the decency to present as a quote the text that you've copy pasted from the provided link ?

And if you believe this is all true then why are you on the web as long as it's not 100% "green" powered, or should only others and not yourself solve the AGW problem you say to believe in and preach about ?

I rather buy the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge in the area, as it includes some already legal and highly automated toll booths (see video)...

‘‘ . . . . The most substantial (2019) increase will be felt crossing the Verrazano Bridge. EZ-Pass commuters will have to pay over $12. Without an E-Z Pass, the rate goes up $2 from $17 to $19. . . . . ’’

As convenient as the EZ-Pass technology is, it's also a marketing and business development dream come true. Customers, almost as insulated as in Healthcare, don't have to see the money as it leaves their bank account. They may curse the price hikes, but they only feel the pain when opening their mail/email, not while on the bridge.
"You use to have to stop and hand someone four bits, to cross?"
[IMG] "Oh, I much prefer to drive straight through. I don't even need to bring money anymore."

Berkeley study: 90% carbon-free electricity achievable by 2035

That goal – 90% carbon-free electricity by 2035 – can be achieved without increasing consumer electricity costs “at all,” says Dan Kammen, PhD, of the University of California Berkeley. Solar, wind, and storage costs have fallen so significantly, he says, that “even conservative leaders, conservative states, districts, countries can legitimately look at renewables, and actually economically need to look at renewables, as their next purchases.”

Kammen, Phadke, and Stokes join with consulting firm Energy Innovations Vice President Sonia Aggerwal in arguing that renewables create three times more jobs per investment dollar than fossil fuels.

The 2035 Report is published by the Goldman School of Public Policy, UC Berkeley.
