Hi, you have a Royal Navy design 27 foot K type Montagu Whaler, they were used by various Commonwealth Navies as ships boats, great fun to sail, hard work to row

She’s getting there now. I bought her for £100 (incl the seagul engine) built in 1940 couldn’t let her be cut up/burned. She will row/sail again......no I’m
not loaded either.....keep your eyes out., I’ll post some more as and when she progresses in this final re-painting phase.

So here she is, as of 18 December. Hope she’ll be in the 21 Great River Race and perhaps a Dunkirk visit maybe. No claim she was there, many whalers were and as she was built in 1940 and there are few around maybe she’d be welcome anyway.....

What lovely whaler ! Congrats on the restoration ! Well done! She is now looking amazing.

Does anyone here knows any other Whaler 27 (or equivalent) available for sale / or donation? I am looking reasonable prices, reflecting the situation of the boat, no matter how bad.
I am interested only to designs close or similar to Montague design.

Any suggestions on where I could find any related advertisements are very welcome.

    Many thanks in advance,
    Happy New Year everyone.
