That's the Vittoria Light in Trieste in Italy, it's the Barcolana regatta, not Barcelona, Spain.

Where is this?

Members would post a picture of a place with boats in or at least 'a whiff of the sea' and others would use their skill and judgement to ascertain the location. Over 400 pages of cunning detective work. And it goes without saying that Angelique was an absolute demon at it!

Sadly, the advent of google image search took some of the fun out, for those that couldn't resist the temptation.

There's some video on youtube, but its pretty blurry, and a different iteration of the Ekranoplan. Someone has made a very good virtual animation though.

 

Hence the quinquennial Sail Amsterdam* 2020 edition was sadly cancelled because of the related activities ashore, next one planned for is in 2025.
