how many lbs of thrust is equal to 1 hp?

    It has nothing to do with type of motor. Thrust =
    power output/boat speed = power input/((prop efficiency)x(boat speed)).
    Prop efficiency depends on advance ratio and pitch/diameter. A warning, however, the
    old graphs by (name forgotten) in DuCane's book are not correct.

    Sandhammaren, you are of course right, despite what almost every E+motor manufacturer claims - but this thread popped up only due to a spam message that has been already removed.
