    Aqualark projects

I have one Lark which started as the basic shell,to which I had added the helm and cable to the splashwell near the transom. In the beginning,I just used tiller controls, but a shifter is much nicer...I enjoy full control with another that is powered with a 25HP Yamaha. This one is all decked out with fishing accessories-it has full camo, and even the engine is painted camo... I just need to come up with a cool fishing name for this one! My other Lark is un-touched with its original blue color that is not the prettiest appearance, though I am sure I can repaint it I just do not have time...I have named this hull: 401(K) SUN(K) -get it? It's just a fun little boat, though I have yet to spend more time to complete this little project...It has a remote and also helm/steering package to the tilt tube at the transom, but I have to put on a compatible outboard. I have purchased a 30HP antique that would be more appropriate on a Whaler,so I may not even get to it this season...I normally post these "toys" on ebay, though I just did not get around to it. Anyway,it is very similar to the Watermouse in my opinion I do not mine the performance of either hull...each is useful for similar purposes,so I do not mind comparing one to the other... My Watermouse is named (Actual Size), kind of like built to scale as if it were a little model boat or something-it was my own favorite or travelling, though the Lark is also easy to travel. The Camo outfit is fully decked out with electric items, though,so it is best while I am alone so that I can prepare in my own time. My blue Lark may soon be set up with a simple electric scematic,or perhaps just manual start...I am still looking for a nice motor to complete the remote & steering, since I do not intend to use the 30HP antique. Anyway, keep in touch since I am usually interested in these little boat hulls.-THANKS! Sea ya later-Matt

    Ebay-NICE!

I've had my luck on ebay, usually with boats and underwater photo/video and searching tools. These little boats are superior scouting boats,so I have been lucky to find them on ebay from time to time... Those two Larks up on ebay right now are also very very nice! One is a bit too high priced for now...I just picked up one that has a 25HP newer engine, and tons of accessories, too, for a LOT le$$. It seems the seller is holding out for more than full value. If someone wants to pay top dollar,it's still a really nice deal on such a versatile craft! The other is quite low priced...however,I am getting tired of running trips across the county. Does anyone else have experience shipping these? I did it once...someone on ebay sold me one for $0.01 (YEAH!-I did not think it was a reality, but I paid $200 to ship it from CA to a freight forwarder in Newark,NJ for my pickup)-it worked very well, though traffic in town was murder(pun intended!). OK,so I am having a hard time letting those superb deals go past...just because I cannot take the time out to run pickups anymore... Ebay is super!-My ebay name is danzima and from time to time I will post some small crafts for sale. If someone is local you're welcome to drop by the shop:Matt 201-796-2886 BRIM Electronics or email me danzima@hotmail.com *Sea ya later!*

I had posted a few tidbits related to the Aqualark, and also the Watermouse... I have both of these, in a variety of "versions". I have tons of info about the Watermouse, but really lack anything about my Larks! The company is long gone, and since the one website that had good Watermouse info had some bits about the Lark (the website is gone,too...Oh well),there is not much info and I have truly been searching. Maybe this post board can get the ball rolling to begin info archives

    Aqualark multi-purpose vessel

I am wondering if anyone else has done any modifications to help for any special purposes? I have used these with tiller,as well as remote driven...I enjoy using these as "Scouts" for locating nice diving and also metal detecting places that I can go ashore. The one boat hull that I have that has special camoflage graphic appearance is set up for a superb fishing craft, with trolling and a high seat, lighting up the wazoo and a sun canopy. I saw someone had a link to a VERY high powered speedy version, and I am also surprised to see "jet"-Larks! Anything else out there? I'm very interested!-Matthew in NJ 201-796-2886 BRIM Electronics www.brimelectronics.com and email danzima@hotmail.com *Sea ya later!*

    Hey Danzima,

I was told by a guy in Toronto that the Jet-Lark (the one that came with a 20hp inboard jet) is extremely rare in that only 14 were ever made. I don't know if there are other models, but you may have a hard time finding that one!

    Happy boating,

    Chris

    Aqualark on Ebay

I just decided to post my Aqualark up on ebay-I wanted to say some more but I think I've covered it all...It's in really nice shape, though "used" condition,of course-REALLY NICE for a 1980s era fiberglass speedster! Anyway,if anyone wants to see this one it's auction#260000191625 and perhaps this link will work OK: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260000191625

    Aqualark -SOLD!-

Well, there goes one Aqualark!-I just sold this one on ebay and I am wondering if anyone may remember the OTHER which was posted by someone from the NY area??? At the price I sold mine,I would be able to pickup that one if I could only recall... If someone else out there has the contact info I would truly appreciate it,since the New Yorker was only about 4 hour driving distance for me in NJ. I am usually looking for hulls which I can complete myself or offer as a work in progress... I do have one VERY complete project available, but I may wait until the end of the season until it is going to be sold since it is my only remaining Aqualark now! *SEA ya later-Matthew in NJ

aqualark that WAS on ebay awhile ago...

It had been on ebay just a few months ago...maybe three or four months ago the auction closed without a winning bidder-and I even had it on my watch list but it has dissappeared so I am going to guess it is beyond 90 days old---I noticed that there were two recent auctions that sold for a nice price, but the one in NY was bare-bones. I have original components besides!-so it would be great to get back to the ebayer and inquire its availability... Hope it can be found again-Matthew, ebay name: danzima

Thanks for that Lark - link

Thanks for sending that link, unfortunately this is not the one... There was a "bare-bones",completely gutted Lark on ebay several months ago and the seller was in NY. I think ebay dumps their links after a period of time, guess they can't keep 'em forever... Oh well, maybe he will relist one day-perhaps now the season is underway,he ought to try again-I will be looking
