Stop with the BS. In other words, pee or get off the potty. How many tons do you need?

Or, he could take the ferry to Ireland, wait for a rainbow and get the pot of gold at the end of it.

The OP should be thankful that Lead exists in quantity, otherwise it might be a different world with sailing.

Lead is not cheap or easy to transport. From a metal supplier it can be 2$/lb. From a scrappy $1/lb. Foundry costs can be $10-20k. transport another $5k and thats for sailboats. the mythological beast of my quest needs 2x that. The cost could easily exceed the cost of the hull. Might as well buy gold. Delivery is free )

re coming across someone genuine, I have found a couple of people here that dare to run the gauntlet of trolls and wind up artists that enjoy nothing more than treating newbies as morning coffee time fodder for their giant egos out of frustration at their empty order books. However, your suggestion is not historically supportable. In reading many threads here, I seem the same thing over and over again. Its frankly pathetic. For a body of engineers, I am constantly amazed at the level of unprofessional behavior and attitudes that are thinly veiled in almost every response.

Your response seeks to blame shift rather than acknowledge this reality based on the arrogant premise that, at this moment in time, these people are somehow entitled to this behavior because: their knowledge > my knowledge. That premise is false, their behavior is unacceptable, and your suggestion that my doing x, y or z, is the solution to this is nonsense.

Posting more details is just grist for the mill. These people love nothing more than to tear apart anything that people like me, who did not spend years in NA school, pay their dues in a shipyard weighing every item within, or build plastic boats that are regurgitated designs from decades ago because they are "proven", are trying to accomplish.

There are flare ups, snark, trolling, criticism and pointless arguments in every thread. My interactions with the mods indicate that this is acceptable. Ok. My response to that is to not take them seriously and weed through the garbage to find the occasional gem from someone obviously imparting their knowledge.

As for mytholgy, yes, this is an epic, mythological quest that cannot be satiated by bland, pedestrian, rule based thinking that seems to dominate the opinions and efforts of most of the people that post replies to my threads. If I listened to the nay sayers, I would do nothing. I wonder what they would have told Elon...

Good grief, this is possibly the best-behaved internet forum I know of. Must contributions are practical and helpful, there is simply nothing practical at all, about the idea floated in this thread, it is OK for a laugh, but the joke wore thin !

What, the depleted Uranium keel ? Not really something to be involving yourself with, from a practical point of view. An interesting curiosity, but that's about all.

Perhaps these NAs regret not considering Depleted Uranium. Probably would have been a lot cheaper that fixing this problem

"I can say without ego or hubris, that if I had been still involved with this project in a leadership capacity, this launch accident would never have happened"

I suspect the NA disagreed with that statement.

I suspect metallic uranium is a controlled substance, not available to the public.

Annode: It is really easy. Pee or get off the potty. I already asked you several times how much you need, and where it should be delivered to. However, you are more interested in insulting other members and making wild claims than buying gold. After some moments of consideration, I do have a fair amount of fool's gold in stock. I can let you have it at a discount.
