Re: post #8592; looks to me like best have a alu prop and not stainless in that situation, so the blades brake off, and not pull the entire shaft out . .

love the trailer and car body, also never seen a beetle cap with suicide doors before

For me the engine and exhaust and red sided tires don't fit the picture, I would have liked to see them in the style of the cap and trailer, and no shiny rims . . :)

Blitzen by S&S. Her owner in 1978 and me, at 15, coming ashore on Dauphin Island after being shipwrecked in Mobile Bay.

It was a dark and stormy night when the anchor rode parted...

Oops, didn't think of that . .
    bucket out house.jpg

Think it would be at the front in a race, but believe they carry the ‘‘out house’’ on a hook behind the trailer, it might get lost, especially when racing . .

Dutch link; ‘‘German 22-25 tractor’’ it says, it even seems to have front suspension, natural suspension shown below.

Wasn't sure the one posted here would be approved by the management, so I've replaced the post by this message, as there doesn't seem to be a delete button anymore, I'll ask the management where the delete button has gone . . . ?

Further to the blinged rat rod vdub and the teardrop shack trailer you shared, Angel -

I'm genuinely fascinated by car culture/car art/custom vehicle aesthetics, and its particularly a thing the US in this as far as I can see.

Alongside 'conventional' motorsports, nascar, drag racing, and vintage/classic car rallies, the huge range and extreme evolution of car culture/car art sub cultures -

Monster trucks, Mud Jams, (can anyone tell me what it is with the bead necklaces - seems to be some sort of currency given/collected for a (scantily clad) photo opportunity?) Rock crawling, Tractor pulls, custom quads, Hot rods, Rat rods, Lowriders, Hydraulics, Bed dancing, Lowrider bicycles, Cal mini trucks, Hi Riders /Donks…

Often, the vehicles are so evolved in their niche that they lose all practical purpose and are purely show cars.

Possibly most bizarre of all, the sound system competitions (pure decibels, playing a single generated tone, not music, and only operable from outside the vehicle, because the sound pressure would kill you.)

Each subculture evolves its own rules, and within the subculture, can really evolve to extremes.

Sometimes the genres cross fertilize, or split, and new movements develop.

Here's just a couple of examples - I could happily be here all night:

A vw beetle, so chopped and lowered that the roof is lower than the wheels:

Extreme hydraulic articulation for an offroad/rock crawler (10 years old now - the builder has a new , more extreme one ready to compete):

    Bed dancing:

And a lowrider bicycle (and tricycle, and toy pedal car) show:

Thanks Adrian, for the Cobles, and the very big guy getting into the very chopped bug . .

Guess this motor Coble only needs the axle moved a bit aft and a drive system to the wheels and a front axle, and then it's fit to join the races . .

But then as it is it's earning a living fishing . . :)

Oops sorry, I'll redirect to their own website for the pic.

This is a square back terrestrial crab native to Florida. I see it from time to time on my daily dog walk. 20200702_081922~2.jpg

It could be that now I've made 5 official counted posts outside the chat forums, which officially promoted me from New Member to Junior Member, I'm therefore now also granted access to the delete button, like most of my fellow mortals who hang around here . . :)
