Hello everyone! I want to design a propulsion system for a tugboat with maximum performance on bollard pull using a ducted propeller (Kaplan).

I already have the engine data that will be used for this project, but I don't know how can I develope numericaly this project.

When I want design a propulsion system without the requeriment of bollard pull, I follow this steps:

Resistance > parameters of propulsion (wake fraction, t... etc.) > analysis of the diagram of open water test > choose of the best eficiency.

But when I have the restriction, I don't knon how can I start.

Thank you for any help you can offer.
