Head for the Hills https://moggo-blog.blogspot.com/ Update 11th May panelling the inner floor and motor outboard well. Hopefully after the false bottom is done and primed I shall be free to get to grips with the decking, not forgetting some wiring and plumbing to carry the outboard remotes.

    The deck color is lovely.

Wooden boats belong bunked on trailers. The rollers are only there to keep them from damage when taking off and are not intended to support a wooden hull. Nor is the hull rolled on and off, but rather floated. Rollers will cause point loading damage to the keel. Again, rollers are there just in case you come into a too shallow trailer.

Your trailer should look something like so. My 16' wooden runabout sits on 2x6 bunks which are basically about 135mm wide by 35mm tall each with a carpet on top.

    Best regards.

    Fallguy,
Thanks for the advice regards the trailer. I have been pondering long and hard how best to support the hull weight and you have given me the clues that I needed right now.
    Kind Regards,
    Graham.

Adjust the trailer bunks to conform to the hull for maximum weight distribution across the bunks.

Almost ready to launch! Should I wear a bow tie on the day suggests my eldest son?
A few more coats of varnish and final fixing those detachable bits including the Honda outboard.

Where did you come up with the design for the tennis racket seatbacks? I really like them.

Hoytedow. Well those seats are the result of my passion for laminating and steam bending wood - a progression really from a little sketch one evening as you doodle/juggle ideas. The great thing is they are strong and light (but as yet untested). Watch this space!.
