    I think your sizing concerns are correct. 5ft is quite long and would fit in the back of a car. Earlier I posted a link to a craft that is used for autonomous surveys, it is (L)105 cm *(W)55 cm *(H)35 cm. There are videos of it in the back of a car and a single person carrying it to the water. It is more boogie board sized.
