Tail and control surfaces are too big, imho.

Very nice design. I presume it is intended for use both over water and snow surfaces?

Sounds like that could be lighter than Ultra High Molecular Weight Polymers (UHMW) which is used on the bottom of some aluminum airboats.

Those are some nice projects you are developing. Thank you for posting them.

For our developments have never used UHMV.
I have no information about it.

    Everything is fine!
This high-speed submarine is semisubmerged type.
Air intake system is the tail and control.

Polycarbonate bonds very well to the "Ester" resins as it was a product of research into those systems.

In the technology of bonding is the chemical preparation of polycarbonate, and only then is stable bonding surface.

In Canada as in Russia we also have a need for boats that can deal with ice / snow.
Please have a look at my website at:

And click on "4 Wheel Drive Boat"

Hello Andrew just built a small Airboat myself & wondering how the protection/strips underneath are attached to the boat : see they overlapped but are they also attached to each other ? Greetz from Belgium Jos.

Forgive me for asking, but did you speed up portions of the video to make the craft look like it was going faster than it was?

That engine and prop would be fine for a hovercraft of that size, but there is a lot less resistance because they are on a cushion of air.

In general from what I recall reading, airboats use twice the fuel of boats because of the inefficiency, and boats use twice the fuel of hovercraft (at same given high speed).
