Seems like they are looking for a shortcut to doing their homework.

I thought students could learn how to source material from the educational program they where in. Isn't that why they go to school?

    Hello Everyone.
Hope you all are having a good day!
Just a quick question, Im trying to a project on designing a Barge. I just have the Block Co-efficients but i need to develop the Offset table. I already have the BSRA but which is for Merchant Ship. Can anyone provide me the the BSRA series for which i can look up for Half breadth/Full breadth (Offsets)?

    Welcome to the Forum Issa.
Can you provide some more information about your barge?
How large is it, and what is the desired block coefficient?
A typical barge will have a fairly long parallel mid body section - what type of ends do you want to have on your barge?

    Hello @bajansailor
Yes. The barge is about 114m long which has a self propulsive unit. Being a barge,i assume it can have a Cb value higher than 0.90.

It is not easy to say something about a barge of which only the length and the block coefficient are known. There may be millions of hulls that meet those two requirements. If you could give us more information about your barge and what you want to do with it, we could surely help you a little more. And welcome to forum.

Thank you all for taking me into this forum. :)
    Back to the question.
Me,being a Naval Arch student, quite just dont understand complex stuffs.Im just trying to get into it. The thing is that I need to prepare lines plan inorder for that I need Offset which i will taking from the BSRA series. I can give you the whole details of my barge.
    L= 114m B= 36.6m Depth= 6.1m
I have a transom stern too on my barge.

I will be happy to help you, but for that, you have to help me and everyone who wants to help you. What do you want to do with your barge? There are certain aspects that are decisive: navigation zone, speed, payload capacity, motorization, autonomy, material to be transported, regulations that must be complied with ... and, if you have one, a longitudinal profile of the ship. The shape of the transom does not tell us much, but the shapes in the bow and stern can be very enlightening.
I insist, it is necessary to have much more data, otherwise it is impossible to focus the project. Make an effort for someone to help you.

The barge is used for carrying dry bulk cargo and Should comply with ABS standard.

How is the " self propulsive unit", speed, how much pay load?.
Should the structure be similar to a bulk carrier?
Fuel tanks, volume, any other tanks?
The hull lines are a consequence of agreeing a lot of things, many of them little compatible with each other. It is not possible, then, to start a project by making a lines plan, it is necessary to deduce the lines plan that fulfills in the best possible way with all those things that the barge must do. But if you insist to have, at this moment, a lines plan, draw a 114 x 36.6 x 6.1 shoe box with a 0.65 m bilge radius. From there, modify things until you adjust the hull to your needs.

Issa, TANSL has offered you very good advice above.
If you want him to help you, please answer all of his questions carefully, and with as much detail as you can.
A barge is a very simple hull form - you will not be 're-inventing the wheel' with your barge.

Is this an assignment you have been given in class? Or is it your chosen project?
If an assignment, can you tell us exactly what they are asking you to do?
You must have been given a Statement of Requirements as to what your tutor wants?

Yes. This assignment was given to the class. But different types of vessels to Different students.
The speed of the barge can be upto 7-9 knots. It can hold up to 8000 tons maybe?
I dont want it very similar to bulk carrier. Fuel Tnk,Fresh water tank is also to be included.

8000 tons .... of what ?. You don't need the same volume, nor can the boat be the same, to carry 8000 tons of iron than ping-pong balls. The barge does not have to be like a bulkarrier but depending on the load you want to carry and other conditions, you may have to adopt a similar structure, with hoppers to ensure stability. Who knows?. Of course, you don't. Well, start thinking, that time fell.
The amount of fuel or fresh water depends on the autonomy of the ship and the crew on board. Would it be necessary to consider a certain amount of water ballast?. Could you elaborate a little more the SOR of your project? Please, if you want to do us and do yourself a favor, start working with your project. In addition to asking in this forum, what else have you done?. Don't you think asking your teachers would be more logical than asking in this forum?

Dear @tapan khandelwal, ... and of the whole project, what part are you going to do?. Have you thought it would be interesting if you also did something?
Perhaps it was best that you put your teachers in contact with us since, apparently, we are the ones who are going to do the project.
