I am using vinyl ester resin instead of epoxy saves stuffing about with 2 different products and is little cheaper cost wise. Here is like 35*c + in my shed so I am chilling the resin in ice before mixing it so I get time to lay it all down- Then I place it out in the sun under an iron sheet(got a temp reading 50*c) for 6hrs. Just finished the hulls today, will do the internal boxes and bulkheads the next couple of days.

Finished the inside layups(still got stowage boxes and joint taping to do internally), have started to fit up the hulls to the decks- will use adheseal PU50 to stick them together (same as 5200 3m, but half the price). Doing dry run first to sight any marriage issues. Gives ewe' s a good look at the hull shape, bows are sharp vee-d round out in midboat then narrows down to the rear. Is the best looking/seaworthy cruising 14ft sailing cat I have seen, has 140 foot of sail area.

redesigned stay mounts- stronger, don't interfere with the locker lid and look a hell of a lot better then the originals as they mount inside the hull.

put a torch inside the hull and mark out any cracks- grind them back to the inside skin and patch them with layers of csm. then coat it all and fair it up

front on and side on after spray, sand and buff.
I gave it a coat of white as a base then 3 coats of yellow, last one with 2% wax in styrene, thinned with 5% acetone and 3% styrene to retard the geltime as its 33*c here in the day and still 28*c at 10pm- trouble of spraying at night is insects landing in the wet gel. I spray it then turn out the lights. Had to touch up a couple of spots with bugs molded into it.

Sanding, doing 2 passes at 90* to each other using a 125mm DA cordless sander- I start with 120 - 180-240-320-400-600-800 then 1000 sponge back- then med. compound, fine compound and then wax 3m marine. Looks good, got some more tweeks for the inside make it last on the trailer.
