DC smiles modestly and gets to work.

So, this is the lower angled piece of the first transom, and the new transom, recut to take the place of B6. The plywood between them is structural 1 1/16”, or 27mm plywood. Stuff costs a fortune. Temporarily screwed together with 1/4 by 5” lag screws. Once the strip planking is on, I’ll take off those blocks and do liquid joinery. Much stronger.

And now to assemble the strongback.

I've been sick for 16 days. Yay Christmas break...

Anyway, today I should have enough help to get the bulkheads and transom onto the strongback. Some of those parts are too heavy for Anne and I alone.

I am getting a bit worried you are going too heavy with this framing, it should not be that weighty.

You're right Jeff. A transom 5' by 10', built to take a pair of big outboards. Overbuilt.

All the other bulkheads are an easy lift for 1 guy.

Holy poop man, that's sturdy, good job.

Any temptation to radius those 90 degree inside corners in the bulkhead?

Is the strongback attached to the floor?

Strongback is not attached to the floor. But it's too heavy to move, even before the beast was attached.

I'll probably round those corners, because it's easier to make a water tight seal on a continuous line.
