What about analysing number and position of bottom steps in a planing hull?

What kind of software do you have access to? Without it, you can't do the analysis.

C ++ is a programming language, it is not a software to analyze the performance of a hull.

Are you writing the program as a thesis? That would take a few months to code a simple program that can do one particular area. For example, flow at a nozzle. This is assuming you have a lot of coding experience. It would be a PhD level thesis.

As I told you before, for example, "influence of the number and position of the bottom steps" in a runabout of 10 m in length. For this you will need to use a CFD program. But you should specify more if you want to deal with themes of pure naval architecture, hydrodynamics, propulsion, stability, ...

Perhaps you could join forces with the member here "Alwaysthinking"

He has a theory which he is trying to prove.
