A bit of news about the Lion 870
The construction of the boat was completed, the yacht was launched, the boat became exactly on the design waterline, showed excellent driving performance when sailing and under the motor.

    Well done!
You should be very proud of her now - she does look very nice indeed.
Can you post some photos of her sailing as well please?

I asked to take some photos of the yacht under sail from another yacht, if I can, I will post them. I have a photo of the yacht under sail, but they were made from the side of the yacht itself.

Now Lion series kits are available in Australia, we have partnered and opened a representative office in Bundaberg, Queensland Australia. Now available kit Lion 550 cut from quality plywood, in the future I hope the whole line of kit yachts will be available.

Excellent, Sir. (Little suggestion from the "blue-water-side": swept-back spreaders can be a great pain, as can be an anchor roller too close to the stem. Hull-portlights: imho a total unnecessary complication & expense. Our always have the blinds down, always. prefer mainsheet further aft)

We tested such a system on several yachts, everything works fine.

Looking at the photos of the 870 under sail, she looks to me to be riding pretty high in the water. Is that just my untrained impression?

In fact, the side is not as high as it seems at first glance, if you look at the picture, both Armagnac and Lion 870 yachts have approximately the same side height and frontal resistance, but the Lion 870 has significantly more internal volume and a longer waterline .
