3 bladed propeller vs 4 bladed propeller

    Taking a quick look at the drawing you posted there does not appear to be much structure in the area where the A strut is mounted. If that area where the strut is mounted does not have sufficient stiffness the rotation of the shaft will drive that are of the hull. This would loosen bolts and cause significant vibration in the vessel.

    As mentioned above a good vibration analysis will be able to identify what is causing the vibration and make appropriate recommendations to solve the problem.

    how much gap from aft of strut bearing to fwd part of prop?
    What is the diameter of your shaft?
    How long is he shaft?
    What diameter is the prop?
    What type of mounts under the engine?
    What type of bearing in the strut?
    How was the engine alignment done?
