I recently acquired a 1979 Eli Scout Sailor. Thanks to Google and the Hull Number I got that much info. The sail and mast are in great shape and aside from some minor leaking around the center board it seems like a decent boat. But I have a suspicion the rigging is not quite complete but I can find no info on this boat aside from a brochure somebody posted 10 years ago on this forum. Any leads or info would be great. Thanks.

I also acquired an Eli Scout Sailor, 9 1/2', and am enjoying it this summer. However, the boom seems pretty low and the mast measures 14 1/4' overall, vs. the advertised 15 1/2'. It may have been damaged and cut down. If anyone out there knows the correct dimension for the lower mast section I'd love to hear about it. I see that I can get replacement extrusions via Dwyer.

I had a dinghy with a low boom, but it was bamboo, and very light, so it didn't hurt much to get whacked by it. I suppose that would look funny, though.
