I want the information/drawing regarding basic hull design of a stern trawler for my project.

 

Shoaib_jaff, You might think about being a little more nice when you request information. I understand you probably don't speak english very well, but some people might take offense to how you word questions.
As for the trawler, we need information too. It's not too hard to find HELP around here. If this is for school though, don't expect people on this fourm do do the work for you. If you can provide us with some particulars, maby we can get the ball rolling!

What Figgy is trying hard to say nicely is that we need more inforamtion about what you want, and why.
What size stern trawler? Where will it be used? Single or twin engines?
School project? If so, is it for a marine design course or a different subject that mases it hard for you to find the right information yourself?

sail design, i havent fixed my dimensions yet, i just need to have look at the lines plan of a stern trawler for an idea.
by the way its not for school , its a project for bachelors degree in naval architecture.

 

It was a friendly piece af advice, thats all. I wasnt offended, and I wasnt critiquing his english, just letting him know some people can be sensitive. I want to see him get replies.

A 45-50 m stern trawler most probably should be a freezer, as she is not a day or short trips boat. But size is not the departure point. What you do need to know first is which species are you planning to fish and then the volume of hold required, the duration of fishing labours to fill it (so how many days in the fishing grounds) and duration of voyage to those fishing grounds. Also the depth and kind of the trawling and if there is going to be some processing aboard other than freezing. From all that you work out crew, vessel size, power and fuel needed. And the designing spiral begins...

I do not know twin screwed trawlers....Well, yes, I saw one built in a Galician boatyard for the Mediterranean! That's the only one.


To have an idea about vessels the size and function you need, you should do some google searching. Just type : Stern Trawler Sale, or the like.
