Fishing trawler conversion

    About 10+ years ago, in SF Bay Area, some fishing regs were changed that aced out all the small boats in Half Moon Bay (something about allowing only fishing at very deep depths requiring big equipment IIRC).
    Suddenly, every fishing boat in the harbor was For Sale, officially or not, some fairly new and some not. One guy I knew was running a Viet Nam era ex-USN river boat with jet drive as an off-shore mostly Red Snapper catcher.
    I'd keep my eyes peeled for similar situation.
