    Hello,

New to the Forum. I was wondering if anyone has any experience designing aluminum boats? I am working in Orca3D trying to design a boat for aluminum but I can't remember if I need to make the entire hull developable? In the past all my boats I have designed I have tryed to keep them this way but I want to try something new and was curious how this would affect the build time and cost.

Any input would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Welcome to the forum. Depending on the work tools and knowledge you have, your hulls may be more or less developable. There are many metal hulls, whose shapes are not fully developabled.

A developable shape should be easier to build. Too far from developable and the hull panels will need to be shaped.
