Is that a lamp, and if so, why is it looking sideways, and does it also have a back door . . ?

All those cats look stray and pretty high to me, so I'd say Stray Cats - Mystery Train Kept A Rollin'

 

It is a lighted number board on the side of the head light. However no numbers, just a cat. The cover is usually the only way in and out. The cover must be open on the opposite side.

She was in 1974 built by Bein Brandsma on his Yard at the Reahel* in Augustinusga, Friesland, the Netherlands, below a cabin scow built by Bein and his team in 1975...

The below 1980 built, and as far as I can see from the pictures well maintained, double ended Brandsma motorsailer is on the market for five years or longer by now I think - link - link - seems like nobody wants a second hand wooden boat nowadays, she switched from broker over the years a few times, and doesn't look like overpriced to me...
