Catamaran Shrouds Position

    Hi... i'm looking for an tip or book that ca help me to know where to position the shroud support frame in a 40ft+ catamaran

    Do you mean the frame inside the hulls which will be used for taking the loads from chainplates attached to them?
    Do you have any photos or diagrams of the 40' catamaran?
    There are a LOT of different types of sailing catamarans out there in the 40' range - you could use some of them as a good reference point to start with?

    I have measured quite a few production cat's and tri's, and they position them about half way between the front and rear crossbeams or about half of the J measurement aft of the mast. It seems to work for beach cats up through big cruising cats.

    120 degree split sounds like a good start for a three stay rig.
