What the heck is this?

    Hey everyone.I got a friend who is rebuilding the Jaws boat.He and I both were wondering what the heck these flat plates are? I guessed they were for the trolling pole.The line from the poles would run thought the holes and these would serve to keep the lines straight.But Im not 100% sure.So figured Id ask the experts.The pics are not great.But you can see there are two of these.They flat plates with a hollow tube on the top

    They are quick connection base plates. Something mounted to them. A bolt or pin passed thru the tubes to lock that something down.

    Basically
    But could have also been:
    Davits or net roller or docking cleats or many others

    Well in the movie they were never shown as being used.But based on what blueknarr said,Im guessing they were used to mount the cameras
