If I'm not mistaken the daily service fuel tanks are always kept full (or almost full) so fuel starvation would be very unlikely.

But for now the engines shut down cause seems to have been (unjust ?) too low registered engine lubrication oil levels, probably due to sloshing ?

I've just looked at the builder's datasheet PDF for the 23,520 kW total installed power, 14,500 kW (61.6%) is for propulsion, and 9,020 kW (38.4%) to control the ship and for convenience, didn't know the latter would be that high . . o_O

They usually are built to run on 3 engines most of the time. The asymmetry in the engine arrangement also gives greater flexibility allowing to run the engines on their most efficient regime at several loads.

Ah, that explains the power surplus, thanks . . :)
