For whoever wants a bigger version in steel, Max Gunning (*1895 †1972) an English NA of Dutch origin, has designed the shallow draft centerboard yachts Alcyone I - II - III, and the Cormorant. Of which the Alcyone II & III have the 17th century Man-o-War look...

Some of the Alcyones have sailed all oceans, of which some also have circumnavigate the globe.

Below pics are all Alcyone II as their looks fit the spirit of the thread, the last color pic is the expanded version.

To keep the forward cabin a bit clear of the centerboard trunk they have it way too far forward, so they suffer from a lot of weather helm, some have lengthen the aft side of the board and trunk to enhance this, others have added a second board further aft, and some are still original on this point. Note the rudder is of a lifting type too.
