Lift onset, planing, and lift coefficient

    Oh, I see you haven't been around boats. A double ended boat is pointy at both ends.

    Back in Kentucky boats do not have a pointy stern. Real boats have a transom. Pointy sterns are for from Popeye.
    If I glue a stick onto my transom do I have a pointy stern?
