Back in the 1980's C&C used a very nice extruded aluminum corner molding on its plywood cabinets which made for an easy to build cabinet with a nice euro look imho. back then I built a new cabinet for a customer's C&C 38 and really liked it and I would like to find where to get it. I seriously doubt it was a propriety product but so far have not been able to locate a source so I thought i would see if anyone here could help.

You mean you think it was a stock extrusion, not a custom one ? Would you know it, if you saw it ? If so, take a look at a catalogue of stock extrusions, they can be found on-line.

Yes, of course I would recognize the profile and as I said I have been unable to find it in online searching. The reason I believe it to be a stock extrusion is that when you order a run of extrusions there is, depending on the extruder, a minimum order of maybe 500-1000lbs, way more than I would expect they would have ever needed.

Hi Steve, if the extrusion is standard then contact an aluminium extruder with a drawing of what it looks like so they can identify it for you and give you a die number. I am based in South Africa and can recommend Aluminium Trading, they are aluminium specialists and specialise in Aluminium Extrusions in particular. They buy minimum quantities of 250 kg from Hulamin and Wispeco, who are the largest extruders / rollers in Africa. I know Hulamin does at least 25% of its business with the United States.
    Cheers, Shaytorn.
