You sure have a long way to go as a boatbuilder. Post 36- 1st layer tabbing 4", second layer, 5", (third 6", fourth 7", and so on). 1/2" wider everytime. That is standard boatbuilding process. The drawing clearly shows the 1st two layers. If you are laying the laminate full on the stiffener, the "extra" which becomes also the tabbing is 2", 2nd layer is 2 1/2", second is 3" and so on.

Yep, I never failed to mention that . I am definitely not a boat builder, just a guy that wants to know it’s done right. I am willing and able to learn. I learn more by seeing.

Thanks for your patience and understanding. I understand from you last post.

Ok to make sure I am seeing it correctly, in the diagram on post 36
I fully understand the top of the stringers but have a couple questions on the sides and hull connection.

    Picture with 11”
Stringer fully glassed with 3 layers (inside) overlapping onto the hull bottom by a 1/2” per layer then one layer of DBM1708 tape, (no width specified) do I assume it’s 6”?

    Picture with 17”
Stringer fully glassed with two layers of DBM 1708
Overlapping the hull bottom, then one layer of DBM 1708 tape (no width specified) is it also 6” DBM 6” tape?

    Picture with 5.5
Fully glassed stringer with 6 layers of DBM1708. Do the outside of the stringers have more layers than the inside?
Sorry but that’s what it looks like in the drawing.

    Thanks
