    This can be done if you develop all the strength in glass. The foam is useless to strength.

    Thanks for the replies, fallguy I went with the 1/2 because I got it for half price someone ordered it and never picked it up. I don’t mind using wood as core as the sturd-I-floor they used lasted 18 years with very poor construction. I don’t mind doing it right and making sure everything is sealed.

    I asked a couple times other places about using XPS and was strongly advised against it, no problem so I figured just go back with wood and do it correctly.
