I took this screen copy showing the trajectories of Hugo Boss (in black, south) and Malizia II (in black, north) and with winds forecasts at next 36 h : that looks not so bad for Malizia, she could hope a decent speed through the transition zone which looks windy, and at the end to be not so far from the 4 leaders of the South route :

News from Charal / Jeremy Beyou today vacation from Lorient : the repairing of his steering system is finished this evening, inc. some fibre-resin reinforcements of related interfaces with the hull. So, he is ready to start either Sunday or Tuesday depending of the meteo and router models : he wants to do Miles in solo with the boat while not searching for too rough sea, it is too early for his new boat.

 

Imoca : Yann Helies now the fastest and with the best heading 255 towards a more windy zone in the next 24h : his slightly south Route seems very interesting .....

Beside the Ultims finish, the Imoca race is also full of uncertainties : I am not inside Hugo Boss but I don't understand why Alex has not just maintained his boat between followers and the arrival line instead of going so North, is he not, at short term, oblige to make a short counter tack fatal for his leading ? Malizia is doing a perfect transition zone crossing, but probably needs also a seagull wing tack to put his boat in line with the arrival objective in the trade winds.

Charlie Dalin analysis on the Imoca race, for him Hugo Boss is still in the best position. If PRB is presently disadvantaged on starboard tack, may be on the coming port one he could show more speed.

Well, after the adrenaline of the last night thrilling finish, back to the other fleets race, with a strong leader in each. Here below a progress point, I can just add that Yann Helies did a very good come back to dispute at least the second place on Imoca, and Malizia II succeeds in his transition zone crossing and has secured a deserved 5th place.
