Luv 2, I have the same boat you have! Getting some much needed attention now, engine out and getting a pod and outboard. Looks pretty solid!

Luv2, Very nice job on your Fiberform. I think that is a Sitka 22?
I am south of you in WA state, currently shopping for a command bridge cruiser for my 24' covered slip. Baja 22 Fiberform is one of the contenders.
I like how you did the steps on the flybridge, I assume for singlehanded beaching convenience?
Was your aft cabin bulkhead open as original and you installed the angled sliding door and bulkhead/windows?
What engine/drive, and what kind of gph at speeds if you don't mind?
Very interested to see anymore pics you might have.
    Thanks.

Did you have to replace stringers and transom in your old girl or was she sound?
    What engine/drive is in her?

I am buying a 26ft Toba, she is a nice clean boat, and has lots done to her. My boat was rebuilt 15 years ago from the hull up. She has a rebuilt 302 Ford with a 888 merchandise leg. In excellent condition. He has has lots of up grades over the years and I have ll the bills, she comes with a good trailer, but it does need brakes. All in all she is a old bot, but very solid and in good condition. If you like to see some pictures, email me at williamsj@shaw.ca.

Do you have more pictures of the fly bridge and the stern area? I think I have the same boat and I am trying to restore mine as well

Greetings Fiberform owners. My name is Allan and I have been trying to locate the most active Fiberform discussion forums online and this site looks to be it. I have two Fiberform boats. A 1981 16' foot closed bow runabout with a 90 HP mercury inline 6 outboard. And as of Friday two days ago the boat I really wanted, a 1978 20' cabin cruiser cuddy soft top with the mercury inline 4 cylinder 470 inboard. Both with white and burgundy hulls. The 20' boat model has yet to be identified even after browsing the catalog from 77. It came with a Fiberform original owners manual and operations and maintenance manual for the mercury 470 inboard manual, manuals for the stove etc. The owners manual says 20K under model but is not pictured in any of the 12 pictures on the cover. I live up north of Spokane Washington where the boats were made years ago. I have been bitten by the Fiberform bug and am pretty excited to fix up and use the cabin cruiser. The 1981 runabout has already had extensive repairs and is ready to test. I just wanted to say hello and keep reading what is being posted.
    Cheers,

Checking back in here. Sold the smaller 16 foot outboard. The 1978 20 foot cabin cruiser has been seeing steady improvement and is turning into a fine vessel. It is a 20K model. Found an advertisement on ebay. It is framed in the shop. Found an 88 165 four cylinder engine and had it completely rebuilt. I had to have new custom pistons made. Found a NOS camshaft, etc. It literally is a new engine. It sits on a stand. My 470 runs well thankfully. I found most of the mercruiser outdrive parts rebuilt and they too sit on the shelf. My wife and I have been taking the boat up to upper Priest Lake in the Idaho panhandle. We live 30 minutes from the ramp. We swim, sit back, enjoy the fact that no cabins are allowed on the upper lake. Looking almost daily for Fiberforms on CL and marketplace, I see there are hundreds of them. So yes they sure did exist...LOL Almost all of them neglected and beat up by poor storage and lack of maintenance. Once in a while you find a beautiful cared for boat. When the snow melts I am planning on a full exterior buff and wax, and repairing or replacing the complete top. I have an upholstery sewing machine and do my own work. I am looking forward to it. I would like to find some type of interior heater and want to make bug screens for the windows. Anyway, Just checking in here. I hope everyone who has a Fiberform is enjoying them. I sure am. Cheers,

I have a few photo's I will have to retrieve and post. Yes Priest lake is very large and lots of fun. The shore edge is filling up with homes that are millions of dollars though. Interesting to look at, some several stories tall, multiple chimneys, crammed in next to the next multi million dollar home. We have been watching one getting built that we estimate is 15K square feet. The lower lake is big enough to get away from that when one feels like it.
That is why the upper lake is appreciated so much. It feels like the remote woods. It is a 45 minute run in a no wake zone through a slow moving shallow slew of sorts. The whole area is really something. I forgot to add that I had every single decal big and small reproduced for my Fiberform. The folks at click it and stick it are super helpful, and it was very reasonable. The swim step warning, big side emblems, soft top bow goes here etc. After a serious polish I will re sticker the boat. I can't wait for summer. I believe I now have a soft spot for Fiberforms...LOL I will have a look for any pictures that would be good to post. Glad to drop in and say hello.

Found these from when we bought it. 1978 Fiberform 20K model. 470 motor with Mercruiser outdrive. Small kitchen, small head, small bed. Lots of real teak. Large fun.
