Bulk Carrier Design

I am Diganta Ghosh from India studying Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering in Indian Maritime University, Visakhapatnam.

My final year project is to design a Bulk Carrier 58000 Dwt.
My concept design has been done.

I need some guidance to Create lines plan for my ship. Either using FORMDATA or BSRA series or from Parent Hull method using lines distortion.

Any kind of help would be appreciated.

What exactly do you need, help to draw some shapes that you already have or help to define those shapes?
In any case, what information do you have at this time?.

 

I already have my length parameters and Block Coefficient.
Please Guide me to make the lines plan.

Start working with the forms of post # 4 verifying that the parameters of your ship are met or changing shapes, as appropriate, to achieve it.

The first thing you have to do is vectorize that picture. Then you must adapt these shapes to the breadth and the depth of your boat. Done that, divide the length between perpendiculars in 20 sections and assign each of them the corresponding section of the picture.
If you have AutoCAD, I can explain how to do it, or do it for you, with him.

Thank You for the advice. I just wanted to know if I could get the lines plan of a bulk carrier with a bulbous bow. So that i could use line distortion method to get lines plan of my ship.
