I posted this before. Very interesting to me. I read somewhere the materials list for a ship launch and there was an item included for like 2 tons of lard to grease the skidways.
It's always surprising to see guys in suits and vests with a Bowler hat riveting or doing some such other grungy work.
The launch of the Coyote at 6:40 has an interesting sequence. The photographer must shout for people to get out of the way, so that guy stiff arms the woman away and then he gets right back in the way. As the ship slides down people pop up between the ways, so they must have been under there the whole time. OSHA probably would frown on that. But at 6:55 watch that cable almost cut that guy in two. I think that last little instinctual fend off of the cable with his arm was the best move he ever made in his life.

 

Sounds like ten years of full time work for one person, making it all the more incredible.

I did click the link and understand the definition, just found the moniker of "2:1" to be curious.

The older I get, the less energy I seem to have. I worked out yesterday morning and had to take a nap at 4:30 PM for over an hour.
