Hi Everyone, Been a long time.

I need to approach a project from a angle I've never used before. I need to build custom collection boxes to glass to the inside of my hull.
I want to use a easy to cut and shape core material and only glass in roughly as it will never be seen.
I'd like to keep it thin like 3/8" up to a 1/2" waterproof, easy to glass
so the plan is to either cut or score the material to form a rectangle then glass into rigid shape then add two 4" hose nipples ( for the blower hose to attach to) and a 5/8" hose nipple to provide drainage of sea spray that get in there.
I can always use a plywood but thought a core material might be faster, cheaper and lighter. Whilst offering some sound deadening.

So what material would be best suited for this type of build

P.S. This box would have one open side and get tabbed into the hull.

    Thanks for reading
    Grady

Thx Sam.......but I'm looking for a sandwich like layup. With some sound deadening properties.

    Great idea though
