There is PU foam sold for some marine use. But it seams to have some of the worst properties. Ages bad, tendency to crumble, and some releases cyanid gas in a fire. That's banned military grade nerve gas! Can't remember which one did that. Never the less it's popular, not as structural foam, but as insulation, also in campervans and other aplications. It's insulation valde is around 70% better than for eps/XPS. Often clad with thin alu skin, to lessen fire hazard and also act as thermo reflective surface.

Fire is never pretty at sea but can be (and is) managed.
It's under a hard coat (also flammable, and toxic) so manageable, with a good fire plan and avoidance are a must.
    Cheers!
